K & Co Wild Saffron layout

Hi there!

P1010326 (Small)

After seeing Debbie K's beautiful cards in the latest Stamping & Papercarft magazine, I was inspired to pull some papers from this range out of my stash and get to work.

This page is for a little album I am doing of my childhood photos - there's not any journalling as I am going to do a separate page dedicated to that.

I hope you like it - I sure had fun with my paints and scissors! Sorry about the shadows and all - I left it a little late in the morning to take the pic!

Oh I must mention that the fantastic value Bella! 96 pc Chipboard Alphas are back in stock at just $5 - yes you read it right - these are amazing value and you get both the alphas and the negatives (like the old MM jigsaws) so you can get actually 192 alphas from the pack! I have used them here for the word "Cute".

Fancy Pants - Papa range

How cool are these papers for "rough", textured cards and pages? All of the work is done here - The only thing I needed to do was get out my trusty Stamp-It Sponge block and Sepia ink and "distress" my cream coloured card base to match.

The buttons are from my vintage button stash and the lettering is some leftover Crate chipboard which is now out of stock but you could quite easily cut your own and ink them up - the rougher the better with this style!

If you like these cards, you will love these new Fancy Pants papers!! - They can be found, along with Stamp-It Sponging Blocks (you will never know what you did without one if you haven't used one before) at my favourite online store http://www.scrapsidaisy.com.

Thanks for popping by! xx

Hi again!

Wow - 2 posts in one day! I have just discovered that my Autumn cards are now in Australian Paper Crafts magazine issue 76 - whilst I don't have the mag yet the wonderful people at APC now put the edition online for everyone to enjoy.

Here's the link... hopefully it will work - I think my cards are on page 36 if you would like a peek. While you are browsing don't forget to check out the Grungeboard article too.

Edited to Add...Oh now I have looked there was one in Issue 75 as well using the gorgeous Lizzie Anne stamps (sorry I have been too busy to keep up with these things lately!!)

http://www.australianpapercrafts-digital.com/australianpapercrafts/issue75 - mine is on page 26 - we still have a couple of sets of these stamps left I think if you would like some!

Happy Mothers Day!!

I hope everyone has a very happy day! Here's a card below I made for my Mother-in-Law. I did make my Mum one too but she peeks here every now & then so I didn't want to spoil the surprise! There is Dimensional Magic highlights on the rose which didn't show up very well in the photo but looked quite pretty and shiny in real life!

The second card is one I made for my sister  - very simple using the new Crate paper, matching die cuts, self adhesive chipboard buttons, ribbon and rub ons.

New instore BASIC GREY'S SUGARED - very sweet!

Here's a simple card designed to show off the simply beautiful paper called "charming"...isn't it just? Perfect for Mothers Day cards and very sweet, delicate birthday and thank you cards - I really like this range! I can definitely see a very pretty baby girl layout happening too!

I also used from the range "pleasing" (the brown) and ""endeared" (the cream). The sentiment is from "My Favorite Things - Grateful Greetings". Other materials - Kaiser bling, Prima flower, pink button, Dew Drop Versamagic "Hint of Pesto" (one of my absolute favourite colours to work with).

The papers are of course available from http://www.scrapsidaisy.com plus a load of very pretty matching embellishments! Hope you like it!

Look at this CUTE little doggy!

This is EASILY my favourite stamp at the moment. It's made by October Afternoon - ain't he the cutest? The pp is from Crate - this stuff is SO precious I couldn't waste a slither. The second pic is of the back of the card - we all instinctively turn the card over when we receive one so why not make the back pretty too?

CCCC!

CCC - usually this abbreviation stands for Copy Cat Cards but in this case it's Crafty secrets Cupids & Coredinations Cardstock. Thought I would share a couple more quick cards that I am making ready to hand out to some very special friends who have helped us with the move. Aren't these cupids the cutest?? With the Coredinations cardstock Black Magic range the outside is black and the inside is another colour - in this case, purple so I only needed one sheet to do the purple mat and the black card base! When the card opens it's already purple inside so you don't need to add a lining sheet unless you really want to. The patterned paper and bling is Kaiser and the ribbon is from FTI.

Have a FAB weekend...I am hoping to get some more stamping done...but we'll see...Edited to add - now looking at the images I think they need some black "stitching" or lines around the stamped images to finish it off - might have to do that!

Sorry to be away for so long!

Well, we have moved shops and BOY has it been hectic but SO SO much FUN! There's still heaps to do, but thanks to so many kind family and friends not nearly as much as there could have been!

Card making has taken a major back step at the moment however the lovely people at Creative Living Media surprised me last week with an acceptance of some cards I submitted late last year (and I know that because I haven't got to submitting anything this year yet!) so that will be fun to see them in Issue 78 of Australian Paper Crafts - those who read this blog regularly will probably get a giggle when they see what cards they are (wink).

Oh and don't get me wrong saying I haven't been submittin, I haven't lost the bug - it's worse in fact but now I seem to make more for shop samples and to sell (yes sell! some people have asked to buy my cards - I was so excited!)

Anyway, I bet you're thinking "shoosh" and get on with showing us a card! Well here's one I made today in between sorting washing, cleaning etc. (it's school hols here!) The card uses the new very gorgeous K & Co Berry Sweet papers and, to my delight, the colours match my favourite Scenic Route papers too so I got to use both plus some older MM Cheeky offcuts and a Heidi Swapp sticker I have had for years! Hope you like it...there'll be a lot more thank you cards coming as I have SO many generous people to thank for helping us with the shop move!

Take care,

Leisa

This week's Copycatcard and THANKS!

Leisa_small This week I made it easy - all you need to do is to use a Punch and a Stamp on your card! This is my version - made for a dear friend and her family.

Also, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to so many people who have emailed me and left blog comments wishing us well for the new shop! It has been a whirlwind, especially with 4 children! We have had school photos, soccer and netball starting for the season, my hubby being called away for work and so on! Thank goodness for good friends who have just appeared at the shop ready and willing to paint, clean, move things and more! I am so so grateful and although I will probably never be able to repay you fully, I intend to do my darndest to show you once we are settled in to the shop! Thanks again! xx

Just a word too - the online store has been a little neglected of late and may continue to be for a little while so, for our out of towners, please don't despair, we are still getting in all of the latest goodies but I may not have time to upload them. Feel free to email me or phone us and I can assure you, your order will be despatched quickly and efficiently as always. Some of our newest ranges can be seen on the forum so please pop by there every now and then if you have time.

Have a wonderful week everyone! xx
