The secret is out!

Well we have been very spoilt at the shop this week getting yet another two deliveries yesterday!

One of them was this new release! I grabbed a couple of items late last night to have a play and here's a card I came up with!

Well what's the secret you ask?? These "scrapbooking" products are absolutely fabulous for time starved cardmakers like myself! For this card I just used a little square of Kindred Spirit paper cut for the background and striped strip, then I grabbed an Glitter ATC Die Cut, cut out some felt border, popped in a glitter brad, popped out some glitter die cuts (butterflies, flower and circles), stamped my sentiment on a little bit more Kindred Spirit patterned paper, added a few Ruby Rock-It pearls and that's it...a very quick, glittery Birthday card!

HB small

Well, almost, did you know the journalling cards make fabulous decorative inserts for your cards? I grabbed one of those, a few more glittery die cuts and there's the centre done! Too easy!

Here's a close up of the very cute glittery butterflies - I love the look of glitter but don't love so much the mess it makes when I do it myself - these are perfect and yes the glitter stays put!

All products featured here can be purchased online and at a fabulous price! Just click on the link!http://www.scrapsidaisy.com/c/243580/1/ruby-rock-it---kindred-spirit.html

Don't forget to join in our fabulous COMPETITION with great giveaways  - details are here!

Look what is coming! Cuteness to the max!

I have been anticipating the arrival of this range for the longest time...can you blame me? Who can resist cute foxes, ladybirds, owls, butterflies, birdies, deer, polkadots and mushrooms all in the same range! I will be SO happy to see this in real life tomorrow!

The products are available here if you need them as much as I do! My stockist is already out of most of them so I am just hoping I ordered enough for everyone!

How's the weekend going?

Mine is going just great - I actually snuck away from the family duties today and spent a few hours (well in 20 minute slots between ducking home to settle/feed bub) down at the shop in the back room digging through all of our kit supplies and goodies and BOY did I find some treasures! Don't you just love having a good sort through - it's like re-discovering your love of scrapping and cardmaking all over again! I have even discovered many of our little kids class samples that we created at the very beginning of the Scrapsidaisy journey - oh what memories!

Speaking of which, did you know we are celebrating our 4th birthday this month? Wow! I am just so proud we have made it this far and can't wait to start the celebrations - stay tuned for giveaways here on the blog and in store and of course our yearly EFY sale!

In the meantime, here's a few cards I made on Friday night...hope you like them!

Cupcakes of the stamping kind!

Thanks firstly to all of the terrific comments about my cupcakes both here, on the forum and instore! I hope the supermarkets all over the country are well stocked with Cake Mate Soft Frosting as I know of many, many ladies who have said they are going to rush in and get their own little stash! If you guys do make some cupcakes don't forget to take a pic and share it with us! Just put a link to your blog in the comments section and I will pop over for a visit!

Now back on to some crafting - I have finally had a few minutes to play with my new cupcake stamp set from Hero Arts. These stamps are the ultimate for me - they really do as they say on the pack - "A clear impression every time"! I sit up quite late after getting the kids to bed to make my cards and, needless to say, am quite tired. There are just some stamps I have in my stash that I know I can't use at night because you have to really concentrate to get a good impression - not these though - love them! Anyway, if you like what you see we have a few sets left in store so I have added a link for you...here below (don't forget to check out the great clearance specials too - there's some really great stock at really great prices!)

Now for one of my cards...I have made two others which I will have on display at our Card & Scrap Day tomorrow at Scrapsidaisy . The day starts at 9am so why not pop in for a casual scrap, make a few cards from our exclusive kits or just have a casual shop! It's a long weekend here in NSW so I think many of us are hoping to get a little scrapping time in there somewhere! Anyway, have a safe and happy weekend!

Some cards to share

Thanks so much for your sweet comments about my cupcakes!

I have been getting quite a few card and layout kits done for the shop but as time is so limited with a bub (and 4 other children) I haven't had a lot of time to just create an odd card here and there for my stash...up until now that is! I have cleared a spot on my desk and made a few cards over the past few days just for friends and family. Hope you like them and they inspire you to put aside a few minutes this week to create something!

Yum!!!

Look what is heading for our Social Scrap tonight! I made up some cupcakes and couldn't resist using my new frosting- it is from Cake Mate and it comes out like Dairy Whip - you just choose a nozzle and off you go...as you can see I couldn't stop! They are certainly not as neat as I am sure they could be but hey, I was having so much fun I wanted to get them finished before Sam woke up and needed a feed!

Hope the girls like eating them as much as I had making them! Oh the little rosettes on top are made by Greens - I had them in my icing drawer and couldn't resist popping one on each cupcake!

PS. I just popped over to the Cake Mate website to make sure the link worked (and to check it out as I haven't visited there before) and low & behold discovered that the same company who make my new favourite frosting also make the dinner I have cooking while I iced the cupcakes! This one is a big favourite of my children and a big favourite of mine as I can let it cook itself while I ice cupcakes! What a coincidence!

Baby update!

Well I have had a few requests for updated baby pics and, as I have had very little time to scrap, they are just the pics, no layouts, sorry!

Sam has turned 2 months old, has had his first needles (and NO it never gets easier), he weighs 5.9 kilos (which is quite a bit over the average line in his blue book so he is thriving!), he is smiling, cooing and pulling the funniest of little faces - I have found his ticklish spots and we have a lovely time together. My Nan used to lovingly call bubs "little time wasters" and this one sure is! The dishes and washing keep getting ignored 'cause when he's awake and happy I just want to smooch and play with him!

Here's why!

A Home for our Handmade Cards

I have received a lovely email from the obviously amazing Pip (from Hand Made Help) and am SO excited to let you know that all of the cards we have collected are going to a lady named Rosemary from The Salvos who will distribute our cards to the people in Marysville and surrounding areas. Thanks so much again to everyone who dropped in their handiwork and stay tuned as I am hoping to put out another call soon!
